I love this song but, the video made me love it even more. I'm a fan of Janet Jackson, and It didn't come as a surprise that she could really dance. I mean with her family genes, how could she not have that in her? But, what I like and admire most about this video is the fact that all of her moves are choreographed. But the militant-style wasn't something she had thought of herself. The idea originally came from the late Michael Jackson, who had planned to use the style in one his next videos but, offered it to his sister instead [How sweet :)].

It may have not been her idea but, she executed well. And check the key she used as her earring. [You thought Alicia Keys started that trend? Pssh.] She was a definitely a trendsetter, especially in the 80's!

Speaking of the 80's. Did you know Janet's song "The Pleasure Principle" was based on an actual psychoanalytic term that is instilled into every one's mind? As I learned in Psychology class this summer, it is controlled by the "Id" [pronounced like 'kid'], which is the instinctive part of our personality that is more concerned with pleasure and irrational thoughts. Janet's take on the song talks about being in a brief relationship that felt right in the beginning but, in the end the she wasn't happy so, she breaks free from it. She considered it 'part-time bliss' which, is basically what our Id is all about. [Word.]
