If Shoes Could Kill...

If Shoes Could Kill, these heels would be on trial as we speak!
I spotted these on-line, and all though they are no where in my radar of spending, it doesn't hurt to
dream.

Beyonce wore these beauties herself for her taping of "60 minutes" earlier this year.
Price tag? $2,795
It must be [REALLY] nice.
See more of these at the on-line site, Gregorys, here.

Stat Quo - Hustle feat. Lauryn Hill

Yes, you read right. Lauryn Hill is featured on a song by rapper Stat Quo. I honestly don't know much about him but, that doesn't matter because this is a record you feel. Lauryn went back to MisEducation with this one! From the start of her first words, you feel her emotion and energy until the track ends. I may be from the South but I miss this, I don't know about you all.

[REAL TALK]: "All I wanna do is raise the next Mandela, Malcolm, Martin, Huey, whatever." - Stat Quo

Yes sir. That is "Miseducation-Everything is Everything-Zion" Lauryn. This is perfect.

You feelin' it too? Download it here.

"I be Nina Simone, and defecating on your microphone" - Lauryn Hill, "Ready Or Not"

Who's Taking It Home?

[Tim Duncan. Kevin Garnett. Tracy Mcgrady. Chauncey Billups. Gilbert Arenas.]

...So my computer has tons of random pictures. This is one I found a few moments ago. And being that the NBA Playoffs are here, I thought this picture pretty much suited the ocassion.

Okay, I'm kidding. But, I think it's pretty cool that two of the five guys are currently in the running to win the ring, and take it home.

We shall see.

Diahann Carroll, Classic Beauty

Being that I'm on break, I had some time to watch a great movie. I'm sure you've heard of "The Five Heartbeats". [BTW, I thought all my life, they were a real group! I feel bamboozled, ha!] But, as you know Diahann Carroll stars in the film & she was gorgeous! I found this and decided to share because I love black and white photos and the old Hollywood glamour!

Stunning doesn't even begin to describe it.

Insight - Des'ree: "You Gotta Be"

I just finished up my sophomore year in college and I must admit, It has been the most stressful-toughest-thrilling-rewarding semester ever. And all though my emotions contradict, it is true. I was challenged every day. Some challenges I stood up to defeat and overcome, and some, I'm still dealing with today.

But, as I was in the car earlier, feeling all of these emotions of achievement and defeat, the radio randomly switches to another station. Now, mind you it has been "switching" by itself all day (I don't know what's up with that) and I would usually turn it back to the previous station. But, this time that it switched, I heard this song playing & I let it play out...

... & somehow I felt like it was a sign to keep pushing and not give up. And, as the old saying goes, "You can only go up from here". And I believe that. Now, I don't know who reads this blog or whether you visit often or not. It doesn't matter. I just wanted to post this for anyone that needs that encouragement.

Besides, we all need a little bit of....

...and I'm trying to find mine.

-until next time.
